Hope someone in the same boat will find this comment helpful. Some dude told me to do a clean install lol. I personally wouldnt remove anything that says Microsoft C++ or LEnovo in front of it. Now while I am a small time data analyst I am nowhere near System Administration so Pros, please correct me if my understanding is wrong. Other stuff to remove might be by preference, like Nahimic, ICUe, Corsair Services, One Drive. This option alone could have fixed the issue because it would have cleaned up all apps and installations, but this I would never known the root cause of this issue So I had to manually delete the VPN installation folders and files altogether and then choose the option 9 from this article “Reset PC and keep files”, to fix my issue. Even the windows installer was not available on my PC to uninstall the apps like VPN which I tried to uninstall in safe mode but no with luck. (Windows 11 update happened on the second day after I turned ON this laptop the very first time).īecause there was no wifi, windows updater couldn’t download any new files onto my system. it blocked all new Windows 11 updates and downloads on my system. This was a very rare instance where I had setup my VPN to start up along with windows and then disable all wifi access for all apps if the VPN is not turned ON. I would rather say I was in panick mode, because even after trying the above 8 options (except 9- Reset PC and keep files), I could not resolve the black screen issue.īut, in the end, I think I figured out the root cause of my issue and was able to fix it successfully. But when I got into this black screen issue the very next day and to say I was little worried will be an understatement. I recently purchased a Lenovo Legion 5i Pro a high end configuration laptop which set me back a couple of grand in my bank account.
